Chitosan is made from chitin in the shells of lower animals and plants, such as arthropods (shrimp and crabs), which is widely present in nature. It is obtained by adding alkali and heating for deacetylation.
Chitosan hydrochloride is a water-soluble chitosan, a chitosan derivative with strong cationic properties, which can promote the absorption of nutrients by human cells. It can be used as an absorption promoter, dressing and carrier for hydrophilic and natural nutritional cosmetics, edible health products, cationic flocculants, etc. It is soluble in water, the solution is neutral, the aqueous solution is clear and transparent, and the properties are stable.
Therefore, it has a wide range of uses in water treatment, food, medicine and agriculture.
Food Grade:
1. Fruit and vegetable preservatives
2. Additives for health-care food
3. Clarifying agent for fruit juice
Agriculture Grade
1. In agriculture, chitosan is typically used as a natural seed treatment and plant growth enhancer, and as an ecologically friendly biopesticide substance that boosts the innate ability of plants to defend themselves against fungal infections.
2. As feed additives, can inhibit and kill the harmful bacterium, improve animals immunity.
Industrial Grade
1. Chitosan HCL of Lyphar has good adsorption characteristics of heavy metal ion, applied in treatment of organic wastewater, dye wastewater, water purification and textile industry.
2. Chitosan HCL can be also applied in paper-making industry, improving the dry and wet strength of paper and surface
printability.
Chitosan hydrochloride can be directly dissolved in water and is a chitosan derivative with strong cationicity. It can promote the absorption of nutrients or drugs by body cells, and can be used as an absorption promoter for hydrophilic drugs, natural nutritional cosmetics, medical dressings and carriers, food health care, cationic flocculants, etc.
