Maltobionic Acid is the fourth-generation plant-derived fruit acid. It has all the effects of other fruit acids, but it is milder and safer.

Maltobionic acid is a type of polyhydroxy acid biobasic acid, obtained by the oxidation of natural maltose. It is an isomer of Lactobionic acid and has similar activity to lactobionic acid, but lacks the sticky sensation on the skin like lactobionic acid.
