Orange Terpenes is an essential oil produced by cells within the rind of an orange fruit (Citrus sinensis fruit). In contrast to most essential oils, it is extracted as a by-product of orange juice production by centrifugation, producing a cold-pressed oil.It is composed of mostly (greater than 90%) d-limonene, and is often used in place of pure d-limonene. D-limonene can be extracted from the oil by distillation.
Orange liquid with sweet orange fruit. It is miscible with anhydrous ethanol, soluble in glacial acetic acid (1:1) and ethanol (1:2), and hardly soluble in water.
1.Edible spices. Mainly used to prepare fruit flavors such as oranges and sweet oranges.
2.It is used directly for refreshing drinks, beer, frozen juice, sweets, pastries, biscuits and cold drinks.The dosage can reach 0.05% (orange juice). Also used in tobacco flavors.
3.Do not use products with turpentine odor.
4.Biological pest control.Orange oil can be used in green pesticides for biological pest control. It can kill ants, and by erasing their scent-pheromone trail indicators disrupts re-infestation.
5.Orange oil is also known to be useful to control, but not exterminate Drywood termites
