Cranberry is an evergreen shrub related to blueberry, huckleberry, and bilberry. Pink flowers blossom and red-black fruits appear during June and July. Cranberry fruit is high in antioxidants, partly from substances called proanthocyanidins (which give cranberries their vibrant color).
